According to author, filmmaker, and medical researcher, Mike Anderson, cancer can be prevented and reversed through diet and lifestyle.  The fundamentals of a healthful diet and lifestyle and the biggest cause of most disease, disabilities and death in the U.S. today are, respectively, the subjects of his first book, The RAVE Diet & Life Style, and of his award winning film, Eating, which often accompanies the book.  In both these works, he focuses on the debilitating effects of the Standard American Diet in contrast to the healing properties of a natural foods diet--properties which are largely unknown or ignored by both the medical establishment and the American public.  In his new book and film, Healing Cancer From Inside Out, Mike Anderson continues to promote his natural foods diet, while at the same time offering a critical assessment of conventional cancer treatments and a withering critique of the medical establishment that promotes them.

Unlike David Servan-Schreiber, a popular author on subject of cancer who advocates a nutritional and lifestyle approach along with conventional treatment (see Anti-Cancer: A New Way of Life), Mike Anderson argues that a dispassionate evaluation of the facts indicate that conventional cancer treatments-- with very few exceptions --do more harm than good and are generally promoted primarily for profit and as a way of hiding the impotence of the medical establishment when it comes to treating cancer effectively.  In contrast to conventional treatment options, he argues that an aggressive change in diet and lifestyle can (in many if not most cases) prevent and reverse cancer.  While the earlier this change is made, the better, no one should consider their situation hopeless.

In addition to the book, readers will want to see the award-winning film by the same name.  The film is two hours long and is divided into two parts.  In Part One, the problematic nature of conventional treatment options are discussed in great detail.  In part two, conventional treatments are contrasted with natural healing through diet and lifestyle.   Below is an excerpt from the film:
